I write communications that get sent out through emails to both internal departments and external companies.
I also proof read documents and materials that needs to be officially published.
7:00 am My most unpleasant part of the day: commute. It's depressing to sit in the underground subway train, to look outside the window and see nothing but the pitch dark tunnel. Sometimes I sleep, but it's hard to fall asleep completely with strangers sitting around you.
9:00 am I stop by a coffee shop to get a bagel and coffee for breakfast.
9:10 am Check emails, sort out the external ones from the internal ones. I'm the first point of contact for a section of our company website, so I get quite a few external emails. (Eat breakfast at the same time)
9:30 am - 11:00 am Prioritize the emails. Respond to urgent ones.
11:00 am - noon Dispatch a bunch of external emails with questions I can't answer on my own to my coworkers.
noon - 1pm Eat lunch, I like this salad bar down stairs, very convenient since I'm on a diet.
1pm - 2pm Heard back from some of the coworkers, rewrite and forward the answers to requestors.
2pm - 4pm Meeting, presentation, or on the phone with people who requested a call back through email.
4pm - 5pm Go through the emails received during the day, make sure I didn't miss any urgent ones.
5pm - 7pm Journeys home.
